Wet Walnuts

The fresh wet walnuts from Potash farm will be available during a short seasonal window from Early October until Mid November. These are full of moisture and have a very distinct flavour and a very good following with the connoisseur of nuts. They are excellent sprinkled over salads, with stir fries, or simply with wine and cheese. Please order now so as to avoid any disappointment.

A Walnut is an edible nut often encased in a smooth green husk and mainly grown in California, France and Italy. These Walnuts have been specially selected by Potash Farm for quality, size, ease of cracking, and good flavour.

Storage: store in a cool dry place for up to six months.

Nutrition: Walnuts are high in magnesium important for bone health and turning food into energy, great in muesli or as a snack. Typically 100g provide: energy 940kj | protein 14.7g | carbohydrate 3.3g (of which sugars 2.6g) | fat 68.5g | fibre 3.5g

Unique taste sensation!

I have long been a fan of nuts, but have never until last week experienced 'wet' walnuts. Wow! They are so fresh, refreshing and delicious, lovely and soft - an absolute must treat for te hautumn / early winter. A new fan!

Autumn is wet walnut season

My order of 1kg of wet walnuts arrived about a week ago. They were absolutely superb!!! I say were because although I tried to only eat about 4 a day I couldn't resist having just one or two more, so that within a few days I had eaten the whole lot! They were easy to shell, often coming out of the shell in one piece. They were slightly moist as you would expect with a fantastic flavour. I am going to order some more because you can only buy them for such a short period of time.??????
